Marion, founder of French Girl Diet

I'm Marion. I Grew Up Eating Bread, Cheese, and Chocolate Every Day.

And I never once worried about my weight. Not because I had exceptional genetics or willpower. But because in France, we simply eat differently.

I grew up in a small town in the south of France, near Montpellier. My mother never counted a calorie in her life. Neither did my grandmother. Neither did any woman I knew. We ate croissants for breakfast. Full three-course lunches. Cheese after dinner. Wine on weekdays.

And yet, obesity was something we only heard about on American TV shows.

Then I Moved to the United States

I was 24 when I moved to New York for work. And what I discovered shocked me. Not the food itself — American food can be wonderful. What shocked me was how women talked about food.

"I was so bad today, I had pasta." "I need to burn off that cookie." "I can't eat that, it has too many carbs."

I had never heard a French woman speak this way. In France, food is pleasure. In America, food seemed like the enemy.

I watched my American friends cycle through keto, paleo, Whole30, intermittent fasting, Weight Watchers, calorie counting apps. Each new diet promised freedom but delivered more anxiety. More rules. More guilt.

And now, the latest solution: a $1,200/month injection to suppress the very appetite that makes us human.

There's a Better Way

French women have maintained healthy weights for centuries without medication, without restriction, without suffering. Not through some genetic miracle, but through a completely different relationship with food.

We eat slowly. We savor every bite. We never eat standing up or in front of a screen. We choose quality over quantity. We listen to our bodies instead of following meal plans. We walk everywhere. We treat meals as sacred moments of connection and pleasure.

These aren't "tips." This is a way of life. And it produces results that no diet — and no medication — can sustain long-term.

Why I Created French Girl Diet

After years of watching brilliant, strong American women torture themselves over food, I decided to share what every French woman learns naturally: you can eat with pleasure AND stay slim. These are not opposites. In fact, pleasure is the key.

French Girl Diet isn't a diet. It's an unlearning. An unlearning of the restrictive, fear-based approach to food that American diet culture has normalized. And a return to something much older, much simpler, and much more effective: eating like a human being who loves food.
